The bike industry is the number one sport market in the world in terms of revenue, according to a recent survey carried out by the market researchers NPD Group.
The 2009 survey reveals that the bike industry accounted for €29.9 billion (14%) of the global sport market which includes the sale of bicycles as well as clothing, parts and accessories.
